In this, my first book of poems, I haven’t chosen a particular theme but compiled a collection I’ve written over the years. Most rhyme but the rhythms vary, and even I have to read some of them a couple of times to remember the tempo in which they were written. Perhaps that’s because poems are so often compiled on a whim - reflecting perhaps, that thought or feeling you had in the moment. Caryn Noad (also responsible for the images in The Dragon on the Hill) has visually enhanced many of the poems making the book so much more than a collection of text.
